DOES ELANDA ECO CAMP HAVE INSURANCE?

Yes, Habitat Noosa has $20,000,000 public liability insurance, a Certificate of Currency is available upon request.

IS YOUR STAFF QUALIFIED TO RUN THE ACTIVITIES AND LOOK AFTER OUR STUDENTS?

Yes, our staff all hold relevant industry qualification and Working with Children ‘Blue Cards’ and adhere to a strict Child Protection Policy set by industry standards.

DO YOU HAVE RISK ASSESSMENTS FOR ALL ACTIVITIES?

Yes, Elanda Eco Camp has risk assessments for all activities that our qualified staff are signed off on.

ARE THE ACTIVITIES THE SAME FOR ALL AGE GROUPS?

No, we run age appropriate activities set by industry governing bodies.

WHAT IS THE INSTRUCTOR RATIO?

Our activity ratios are guided by Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) and the Curriculum Activity Risk Management Guidelines from Education Queensland.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS WET WEATHER?

We are an all-weather venue with a range of activities in case of wet weather. Camp coordinators will be informed of any changes to their program either at camp or prior to arrival.

DO YOU CATER FOR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Yes, all dietary requirements are catered for by our contract caterers and qualified Chefs. Our Head Chef would be more than happy to discuss any dietary requirements with your teachers or parents.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Prior to your arrival, we will email you a detailed activity equipment list to match your selected school camp activities.

IS THERE ANYONE ON-SITE AFTER HOURS?

Yes, your camp coordinator will be on-site during your program.

WHAT ARE THE STUDENT’S REQUIREMENTS WHILE ON CAMP?

Students are required to have fun!! Also asked to keep their accommodation neat and tidy and report any damages. During meal times we ask students to assist in the serving of meals and washing their own plates and cutlery, these duties teach them real world roles.

WHAT ARE THE TEACHER’S RESPONSIBILITIES?

Teachers are asked to assist our staff with group management at activities and meal times. They also have responsibility of their students outside of any activities or meals run by Elanda Point Eco Camp staff.
